Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové bylo zjistit výskyt deprese u seniorů s onkologickým onemocněním. Dílčími cíli jsme sledovali vliv věku, pohlaví, vzdělání, rodinného stavu a délky onemocnění. Dále zda faktory, které mohou mít vliv na vznik deprese, jsou více zatěžující pro seniory s onkologickým onemocněním a seniory bez onkologického onemocnění. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořili senioři starší 65 let. Celkový počet respondentů byl 103, z nichž u 66 seniorů bylo diagnostikováno onkologické onemocnění. Výzkum probíhal od dubna 2019 do července 2019 v soukromém diagnostickém centru. Sběr dat byl proveden pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku k zjištění deprese u seniorů GDS - 15 (Geriatric Depression Scale), který byl doplněn o demografické údaje a anamnestická data seniorů. Výsledky: Dle celkového vyhodnocení GDS-15 dotazníku byla většina jak onkologických, tak neonkologických respondentů bez deprese. U seniorů s onkologickým onemocněním nebyla zjištěna statistická významnost u faktorů věk, pohlaví, vzdělání, rodinný stav a délka onemocnění. Onkologické onemocnění by nemuselo mít vliv na vnímání faktorů soběstačnosti, omezeného pohybu a samoty. Naopak by mohlo mít vliv na vnímání faktoru rodinné situace (p=0,016), faktoru budoucnosti (p=0,027) a faktoru onemocnění (p=0,026). Závěr: Z našeho výzkumu vyplývá, že onkologické onemocnění, rodinné zázemí a pohled do budoucnosti jsou faktory, které seniory zatěžují. Proto je pro seniory s onkologickým onemocněním důležitá nejen léčba fyzických symptomů, ale také psychická podpora a odborné poradenství.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the diploma thesis was to determine the occurence of depression in seniors with oncological disease. We monitored the partial goals of the influence of age, gender, education, marital status and duration of the disease. Furthermore, whether the factors that may influence the development of depression are more burdensome for seniors with oncological disease and seniors without oncological disease. Methodology: The research group consisted of seniors older than 65 years. The total number of respondents was 103, of which 66 seniors were diagnosed with oncological disease. The research took place from April 2019 to July 2019 in a private diagnostic center. Data collection was performed using a standardized questionnaire to determine depression in seniors GDS - 15 (Geriatric Depression Scale), which was supplemented by demographic data and anamnestic data of the seniors. Results: According to the overall evaluation of the GDS-15 questionnaire, most of both oncological and non-oncological respondents were not depressed. In seniors with oncological disease, no statistical significance was found for the factors age, gender, education, marital status and duration of the disease. The oncological disease did not affect the perception of the factors of self-sufficiency, limited mobility and loneliness. Conversely, it could affect the perception of family situation factors (p = 0.016), future factor (p = 0.027) and disease factor (p = 0.026). Conclusion: Our research shows that oncological disease, family background and prospects of the future are the factors that burden seniors. Therefore, not only the treatment of physical symptoms, but also psychological support and professional counseling is important for seniors with oncological disease.
