Resources of energy in Caspian region – conflict of interests of China, Russia and the United States

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce Energetické zdroje kaspického regionu - střet zájmů Číny, Ruska a Spojených států, je postihnout vzájemné vztahy Ruska s Ázerbájdžánem, Kazachstánem a Turkmenistánem v politicko-bezpečnostní, ekonomické a kulturně-sociální oblasti, od rozpadu SSSR do současnosti. V práci jsou dále analyzovány trasy produktovodů, těžba a zásoby ropy a zemního plynu v kaspickém regionu. Diplomová práce je založena na hypotéze, že významný vliv a role Ruska, se na základě společné politické, ekonomické a kulturně-sociální minulosti v rámci Sovětského svazu, nadále projevuje na kvalitě současných vzájemných vztahů a v zahraniční politice Ázerbájdžánu, Kazachstánu a Turkmenistánu, a to i přes snahu Číny a Spojených států hrát v regionu významnější roli.

Abstract:

The goal of the diploma thesis Resources of energy in Caspian region – conflict of interests of China, Russia and the United States, is to analyze relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in the politico-security, economic and cultural-social field, since the collapse of the USSR to the present. The diploma thesis analyzes the routes of pipelines, mining and reserves of oil and natural gas in the Caspian region. The diploma thesis is based on the hypothesis that a significant impact and role of Russia on the basis of common political, economic, cultural and social history in the Soviet Union, still reflected in the quality of current relations and foreign policy of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, even despite the efforts of China and the United States play more significant role in the region.
