Abstract:

Diplomová práce Novodobé graffiti jako součást a reflexe postmoderní kultury se zabývá současným výtvarným fenoménem graffiti ve vztahu k moderní a postmoderní kultuře. O doposud nedostatečně odborně a objektivně zpracovaném tématu se objevuje řada nepřesností, polopravd a nadinterpretací. Cílem práce je vyvrátit dílčí nesrovnalosti a omyly a začlenit soudobé graffiti do rámce postmoderní kultury. Práce popisuje subkulturní charakter jevu, historické pozadí a inspirační umělecké vlivy. Aplikuje typické rysy postmoderního umění na graffiti a pokouší se o relevantní explikaci pojmu „graffiti“.

Abstract:

The thesis Contemporary Graffiti as a Part and Reflection of Postmodern Culture deals with the contemporary phenomenon of graffiti in relation to modern and postmodern culture. The still insufficiently professionally and objectively elaborated topic evidences a line of inaccuracies, half-truths and overinterpretations. The goal is to disprove partial inconsistencies and errors and to integrate contemporary graffiti into the ambit of postmodern culture. The thesis describes the subcultural character of phenomenon, historical background and inspirational influences of fine art. It applies typical attributes of postmodern art to graffiti form and attempts of relevant explication of “graffiti”.
