Optimization of the 3D graphics creation process

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje možnostem optimalizace procesu tvorby 3D grafiky, analýze dostupných nástrojů a softwarových řešení v oblasti vizualizačních technologií a jejich integrace do celého procesu produkce grafických výstupů. V rámci této diplomové práce dochází ke kombinaci oboru projektového managementu a tvorby 3D grafiky. Práce konkrétně zkoumá postupy a doporučení definované teorií projektového managementu, které jsou následně využity při odvození projektové metodiky určené pro řízení projektů v oblasti tvorby 3D grafiky. Cílem práce je jednak sestavení projektové metodiky obsahující doporučení a postupy při řízení projektů v oblasti 3D grafiky, ale i analýze softwarových nástrojů a knihoven 3D modelů a jejich možné využití pro optimalizaci projektu tvorby 3D grafiky. Dále jsou zkoumány ekonomické i časové dopady využití knihoven 3D modelů v rámci projektu 3D grafiky. Veškeré získané znalosti jsou následně aplikovány na ukázkovém praktickém projektu zaměřeném na produkci architektonických 3D vizualizací.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with possibilities of optimization of the 3D graphics creation process, analysis of available tools and software solutions in the field of visualization technologies and their integration into the whole process of production of graphic outputs. This thesis deals with a combination of project management and 3D graphics. In particular, the thesis examines the practices and recommendations of defined project management theories, which are subsequently used to derive the project methodology for project management in 3D graphics. The aim of the thesis is to build a project methodology containing recommendations and procedures for project management in 3D graphics, as well as analysis of software tools and libraries of 3D models and their possible use for the optimization of the 3D graphic creation process. In addition, the economic and temporal impacts of using 3D model libraries within the 3D project are investigated. All the knowledge gained is then applied to a demonstration of a practical project focused on the production of architectural 3D visualizations.
