Diplomová práce se věnuje vyjádření obsahu pojmu efektivnost veřejného sektoru a měření efektivnosti. První kapitola stručně představuje charakteristiku veřejného sektoru. Ve druhé kapitole jsou srovnány jednotlivé pojetí efektivnosti v anglicky psaných pramenech. Třetí kapitola se zabývá měřením technické efektivnosti veřejného sektoru pomocí metody DEA. The diploma thesis deals with expression of the public sector efficiency constructs and its measurement. The first chapter deals with brief characteristic of the public sector.
