Abstract:

Disertační práce pojednává především o písňových cyklech českého skladatele Ilji Hurníka (1922-2013), které zkomponoval pro soprán a klavír, případně i jiná nástrojová obsazení, okrajově pak také o samostatných písních věnovaných stejnému hlasovému oboru. Práce je svým zaměřením částečně historiografická a také interpretačně-analytická. Je členěna na dva hlavní oddíly. První oddíl obsahuje komentovanou antologii všech nalezených sopránových písňových cyklů, kompletuje informace o vzniku díla, premiérách a provedeních tvorby, dobovém kontextu vzniku díla a dostupnosti notových pramenů. Druhý oddíl pak přináší interpretační analýzu tří vybraných cyklů. Závěr je bilanční, neboť sleduje vývoj skladatelovy hudební řeči, interpretační specifika a přináší shrnutí. Kromě již vydaných čtyř písňových cyklů bylo v pozůstalostech nalezeno dalších sedm cyklů v autografu, z nichž jeden byl zásluhou autorky této práce vydán a další jsou k vydání připraveny. Přílohou této disertace jsou přepisy nalezených a dosud nevydaných rukopisů písňových cyklů, které jsou součástí tištěné verze práce a jsou určeny pouze ke studijním účelům.

Abstract:

This dissertation is concerned with soprano songs by the Czech composer Ilja Hurník (1922-2013), specifically with his song cycles for soprano and piano (or other instruments) and, to some extent, with individual songs composed for this voice type. The methodological orientation of this thesis is twofold: it involves both historiographical documentation and performance-focused music analysis. Correspondingly, its structure is divided into two parts. The first part includes a commented anthology of all known soprano song cycles by the composer, providing complete information on the origin of each work, its premiere performance and subsequent performances, the historical circumstances of its composition, and the availability of the score. The second part presents performance-focused analyses of three selected song cycles. The conclusion evaluates the development of the composer's musical idiom, describes its specifics from a performer's perspective, and summarises the findings of the research. Four of the song cycles discussed in this thesis had been published prior to the start of this research project; seven more have since been discovered in personal archives in autograph form, one of which has been published by the efforts of the author of this thesis and others have been prepared for publication. This thesis includes as its supplement the transcriptions of the newly discovered and hitherto unpublished autographs; these transcriptions are attached to the printed copy of the thesis and are available for research purposes only.
