Statistical analysis of digital social communication in Austria and the Czech Republic

Abstract:

This thesis examines the statistical landscape of digital social communication in Austria and the Czech Republic, focusing on digital infrastructure, internet access, digital skills, and trust in public institutions. Through statistical analysis and hypothesis testing, the study identifies key differences between the two countries in terms of digital proficiency and governmental communication. Austria demonstrates a more developed digital infrastructure and higher levels of digital literacy, while the Czech Republic continues to expand its digital capabilities but faces challenges in accessibility and trust in institutions. The findings highlight a significant relationship between institutional trust and online engagement, influencing public interactions with digital government services. Additionally, Austria exhibits higher satisfaction levels with public services compared to the Czech Republic. The thesis underscores the importance of digital policies and public trust in shaping effective digital communication strategies. Despite certain limitations, the research provides valuable insights into the evolving digital landscape in both countries, contributing to discussions on digital inclusivity and governance.
