Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá poetikou secese v díle Jana Opolského a Růženy Svobodové. Diplomová práce sestává ze čtyř svébytných kapitol. První kapitola představuje nezbytné literárněhistorické pozadí. Dále přinášíme medailony obou umělců a přihlížíme také k recepci jejich díla. Z hlediska zájmu o secesní umění považujeme za stěžejní a zároveň velmi problematickou oblast samotné vymezení a charakteristiku secese. Vymezení a genezi pojmu secese se věnujeme v druhé kapitole, přičemž pojednáváme o prerafaelismu, romantismu, impresionismu, symbolismu, dekadenci a novoromantismu – pracujeme tedy s uměleckými směry spjatými neodmyslitelně se secesí. Poetice secese prostřednictvím díla Jana Opolského a Růženy Svobodové náleží třetí a čtvrtá kapitola. V třetí kapitole nazvané Exotika interpretujeme ty rysy secesní poetiky, jež se jeví jako exotické. Věnujeme se fenoménu tzv. japonismu a také cestovatelskému zájmu Růženy Svobodové. Čtvrtá kapitola s názvem Erotika reflektuje dobově příznačnou tematiku erotiky, sexuality a vztahů mezi mužem a ženou. V diplomové práci se rovněž snažíme přihlížet k zahraničnímu kulturnímu kontextu. Jako ilustrační materiál jsou na konci diplomové práce k jednotlivým kapitolám přiloženy také obrazové přílohy.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the poetics of Art Nouveau in the work of Jan Opolský and Růžena Svobodová. The thesis consists of four distinctive chapters. The first chapter introduces the necessary literary-historical background. In addition, we bring medallions of both artists and also witnessing the reception of their work. In terms of interest in Art Nouveau we consider essential and very problematic area itself and defining characteristic of Art Nouveau. Definition and genesis of the term Art Nouveau is described in the second chapter, where we discuss Pre-Raphaelites, romanticism, impressionism, symbolism, decadence and neoromanticism - working with art movements inherently connected with the Art Nouveau. Poetic Art Nouveau works by Jan Opolský and Růžena Svobodová belong to the third and fourth chapters. In the third chapter, entitled Exotic interpret those features Art Nouveau poetics, which seem exotic. We deal with the phenomenon of japanism and traveler interest of Růžena Svobodová. The fourth chapter titled Erotica reflects historically distinctive themes of eroticism, sexuality and relationships between a man and a woman. In this thesis we also take into account the foreign cultural context. As illustrative material at the end of the thesis to each chapter also included an image attachment.
