This bachelor thesis deals with Jindřich Chalupecký and his reflections on contemporary modern art. It focuses mainly on his views in relation to the Czech cultural society. The work is divided conveniently into five chapters that describe the general history of modern art and the influence of socialism on the Czech art scene.
