Unemployment of graduates of economic colleges/universities.

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza nezaměstnanosti absolventů ekonomických vysokých škol v České republice a zhodnocení aktivit daných škol na podporu zaměstnatelnosti jejich absolventů. Práce se věnuje identifikaci těchto aktivit, dále se zabývá přínosy každé z nich a možností lepšího postavení absolventů při vstupu na pracovní trh. Práce je postavena na dvou šetřeních. V první části jsou analyzována data ze serveru Střediska vzdělávací politiky Univerzity Karlovy, zabývající se nezaměstnaností absolventů vysokých škol, se zaměřením na absolventy ekonomických škol a fakult. V druhé části práce využívá dotazníkového šetření pro vybrané školy. Dotazuje se na míru poskytování jednotlivých aktivit, míru zájmu a využití ze strany studentů a přínosnost daných aktivit. Na základě šetření dojde k celkovému zhodnocení problematiky a analyzování možností rozšíření uplatnění absolventů na trhu práce se začleněním doporučení pro školy a studenty.

Abstract:

The goal of the baccalaureate thesis is to analyse the topic of unemployment of graduates from economic universities in the Czech Republic and to assess activities of the selected schools to promote the employability of their graduates. The thesis concentrates on identifying such activities and deals with contributions and benefits of individual activities and possibilities to strengthen the position of graduates entering the labour market. The thesis is based on two surveys. In the first part data from the server of the Centre of Educational Strategy of Charles University dealing with unemployment of university graduates are analysed, which are focused on graduates from business schools and faculties. The second part uses the questionnaire method in selected schools and queries the size of provision of individual activities, the range of interest and use by students and the level of utilisation of such activities. In the final part, upon this investigation there is an overall assessment of the problem and possibilities how to improve engagement of graduates in the labour market is analysed and some recommendations for schools and students are specified.
