Power line corridor as habitat for light-loving species of ground beetles

Abstract:

V této práci byla analyzována diverzita střevlíků v rámci průseků elektrického vedení. Pro výzkum byly vybrány tři zájmové lokality v obcích Mokrá – Horákov, Babice nad Svitavou a Březina. V každém průseku zájmové oblasti byly instalovány tři linie se sedmi zemními pastmi. Pasti byly situovány kolmo na osu elektrického vedení. Vzdálenost linií byla 50 metrů. Sběr materiálu probíhal ve třech intervalech 1.5. 2020, 15.5. 2020 a 29.5 2020. Bylo evidováno dohromady 119 dospělých jedinců. Dle ekologických nároků, početnosti a ohrožení byli jedinci rozřazeni, a z výsledných dat byly zpracovány grafy a tabulky. Mezi nasbíranými jedinci byla evidována i přítomnost ohrožených druhů. Z výsledků lze konstatovat, že většina epigeicky žijích střevlíků na nově vzniklý biotop reagovala pozitivně. Po přečtení dostupné odborné literatury byl navržen možný způsob hospodaření v rámci průseků elektrického vedení tak, aby byl v souladu se zvyšující se diverzitou střevlíků i dalších bezobratlých.

Abstract:

In this work, I have analyzed the diversity of ground beetles within the power line intersections. Three localities of interest were selected for the research in municipalities Mokrá – Horákov, Babice nad Svitavou and Březina. Three lines with seven earth traps each line were installed perpendicular to the axis of the power lines. The distance of the lines were 50 meters. Materials were collected at three intervals: 1st of May, 15th of May and 29th of May 2020. A total of 119 individuals were registered. According to ecological demands, abundance and threat, individuals were classified, and the resulting data were processed to graphs and tables. The presence of endangered species was also recorded among the collected individuals. The results show that most epigeically living ground beetles reacted positively to the newly created habitat. After reading the available professional literature, a possible way of management within the sections of power lines was proposed so that it would be in accordance with the increasing diversity of ground beetles and other invertebrates.
