Risks and opportunities of the electric vehicle industry for Hyundai in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zhodnotit současný stav elektromobilového průmyslu na území České republiky a identifikovat rizika a příležitosti daného odvětví pro společnost Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech s.r.o. Literární rešerše se zabývá definicí klíčových pojmů a popisem elektromobilového průmyslu České republiky. V následující části je zkoumáno působení společnosti Hyundai na trhu. Z rešerše lze konstatovat, že elektromobilita v České republice je stále v počáteční fázi a vyžaduje podporu jak ze strany státu, tak Evropské unie, aby došlo k zvýšení poptávky po elektromobilech. Aplikační část je věnována SWOT analýze elektromobilového průmyslu. Závěr aplikační části obsahuje praktická doporučení pro společnost Hyundai. Analýza ukazuje, že stále existuje mnoho faktorů, které by mohli ovlivnit soudobý stav a budoucí vývoj celého odvětví. Z tohoto důvodu bylo doporučeno, aby byl Hyundai schopen se přizpůsobit různým situacím, které mohou vyplynout z politických i dalších globálních důvodů, bez ohledu na to, zda se jedná o faktory interního či externího charakteru.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis aims to evaluate the current state of the electric vehicle industry in the Czech Republic and to identify the risks and opportunities of the industry for Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech s.r.o. In the following section, Hyundai's market presence is examined. From the research, it can be concluded that electromobility in the Czech Republic is still in its early stages and requires support from both the state and the European Union to increase the demand for electric vehicles. The application part is dedicated to the SWOT analysis of the electric vehicle industry. The practical recommendations for Hyundai are presented as the conclusion of the application section. The analysis shows that there are still many factors that could affect the contemporary state and future development of the whole industry. For this reason, it was recommended that Hyundai should be able to adapt to various situations that may arise from political and other global reasons, regardless of whether these factors are internal or external.
