Economic impact of the coronavirus epidemic

Abstract:

Hanychová D. Ekonomické dopady epidemie koronaviru, Bakalářská práce, Brno: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2024. Tématem bakalářské práce jsou ekonomické dopady epidemie koronaviru na odvětví cestovního ruchu v České republice. V teoretické části práce je nejprve blíže představeno odvětví cestovního ruchu a jeho podoba v České republice. V praktické části je za pomoci dostupných dat analyzován dopad pandemie covid-19 na odvětví cestovního ruchu. Nejprve je popsán stav odvětví před pandemií, vývoj domácího a zahraničního cestovního ruchu během pandemie, a následně je vyhodnocen současný stav cestovního ruchu a jeho schopnost se vyrovnat s důsledky pandemie. Součástí praktické části je i vyhodnocení dopadů pandemie na letecký a automobilový průmysl a srovnání rozdílných dopadů pandemie na tato odvětví.

Hanychová, D. Economic impact of the coronavirus epidemic. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2024. The topic of the bachelor thesis is the economic impact of the coronavirus epidemic on the tourism industry in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of this thesis starts by introducing the Tourism Sector and its form in the Czech Republic is first introduced. In the practical part, the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on the tourism sector is analysed on the basis of available data. Firstly, the state of the industry before the pandemic, the development of domestic and foreign tourism during the pandemic is described, and then the current state of the tourism industry and its ability to cope with the consequences of the pandemic is evaluated. The practical part also includes an assessment of the impact of the pandemic on the airline and automotive industries and a comparison of the different impacts of the pandemic on these industries.
