Rationalization of the Production Line Based on Computer Simulation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na racionalizaci výrobní linky na základě počítačové simulace, kde je cílem provoz linky s co nejmenším počtem operátorů bez omezení kapacity výroby. Požadavkem společnosti bylo snížit počet operátorů alespoň na dvanáct a vyhnout se návrhu velkých změn zařízení linky. Simulace byla provedena v programu FlexSim, která umožnila získat komplexní přehled o situaci a analýzu dopadů navrhovaných změn. Podstatou návrhu je správně rozložit pracovní úkoly mezi různé operátory, taky aby i při maximálním vytížení nebrzdili výrobní takt linky. Navržené řešení popisuje minimální požadovaný počet operátorů a jejich pracovních úkolů spolu s návrhem drobných změn zařízení linky. Všechny tyto navrhované změny byly ohodnoceny z finančního hlediska a byl zvážen jejich přínos. Byla zvážena i rizika, která s sebou nese navrhované řešení, a jak je možné je minimalizovat. Výsledky této práce umožňují efektivně naplánovat výrobu a využít potenciál výrobního zařízení bez nutnosti experimentovat za chodu linky. Velkým přínosem analýzy navrhovaných řešením s pomocí simulačním programu je značná úspora prostředků oproti takovému postupu.

Abstract:

The thesis is aimed at rationalization of assembly line based on computer simulation where the goal is the operation of the line with the smallest number of operators without limiting the assembly capacity. Company's requirement is to lower the number of operators to at least twelve and to avoid major changes of the equipment of the line. The simulation was made in FlexSim program which allowed the gain of complex overview about the situation and the analysis of impacts of the proposed changes. The essence of the proposal is to correctly divide work tasks between different operators, so they will not slow down the assembly tact of the line even under maximal workload. The proposed solution describes minimal number of operators necessary and their work tasks together with a proposal of minor changes to the equipment of the line. All of these proposed changes have been evaluated from financial perspective and their benefit was also considered. Also considered were risks which this proposed solution brings and how they can be minimalized. Results of this thesis allow efficient planning of the assembly and full use of the potential of the manufacturing equipment without need for experiments on running line. Great benefit of the analysis of the proposed solutions with the help of simulation program is a significant saving of resources compared to that approach.
