Ritual practices in team sports

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je identifikovat a představit rituální aktivity provozované v rámci kolektivních sportů z perspektivy samotných účastníků. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí teoretické, metodologické a analytické. V části práce věnované teoretickým východiskům je čtenář seznámen s problematikou zvoleného tématu. V metodologické části jsou popsány výzkumné metody (polostrukturované rozhovory) a zkoumaný soubor. Analytická část práce představuje výsledky výzkumu a diskuze. Ohniskem zájmu práce jsou názory, postoje, ideje a chování hráčů v oblasti sportovních rituálních praktik.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to identify and introduce ritual activities operated under a collective sports from the perspective of the participants themselves. The work is divided into three parts - theoretical, methodological and analytical. In the part devoted to the theoretical background, the reader is made familiar with the problems of the chosen topic. The methodology section describes the research methods (semi-structured interviews). Furthermore, examined number of handball, basketball and ice-hockey players is described in this section. The analytical part of this thesis presents the results of research and discussion. The main attention is focused on opinions, attitudes, ideas and behavior of players in the field of sports ritual practices.
