The debate about good death in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Práce se bude zaměřovat především na problematiku eutanazie v České republice. Zanalyzuji zejména snahy o zlegalizování eutanazie formou legislativních nástrojů, které se uskutečnily v minulosti. Další část práce bude obsahovat pohled na eutanazii z hlediska současné platné legislativy. Následujícím a posledním mým záměrem bude objektivně vylíčit názory odpůrců a zastánců spolu s jejich argumenty pro a proti ?dobré smrti? v současné debatě o eutanazii. V rámci vytyčeného cíle poskytnu svůj názor ohledně eutanazie v České republice a případný postup řešení této problematiky.

Abstract:

The thesis will primarily deal with the subject of euthanasia in the Czech Republic. I will particularly analyse efforts to legalize euthanasia by means of legislative tools which were carried out in the past. The second part of the thesis will deal with the opinion on euthanasia from the point of view of the existing valid legislation. The following and the last intention of mine will be to objectively describe both opponents´ and proponents´ opinions together with their arguments for and against ?good death? in the current debate on euthanasia. Within the set aim, I will express my opinion on euthanasia in the Czech Republic and propose a possible procedure how to deal with it.
