Newborn hearing screening

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá screeningovým vyšetřením sluchu u novorozenců. Teoretická část práce se zabývá krátce anatomií, fyziologií a vývojem sluchového orgánu, sluchovými vadami, jejich diagnostikou a léčbou. Dále jsou uvedeny informace o screeningu novorozenců včetně screeningu sluchu s legislativním rámcem. Podrobněji je popsána metodologie screeningu sluchu a typy vyšetření včetně role porodní asistentky/novorozenecké sestry při provádění screeningu sluchu u novorozenců. Uveden je i základní přehled provádění screeningu u novorozenců ve vybraných zemí EU a světa. Ve výzkumné části jsou prezentovány výsledky výzkumného šetření ve 2 okresních nemocnicích Jihočeského kraje. Je zde uvedeno vyhodnocení stanovených cílů, výzkumných otázek, stanovených hypotéz a předpokladů. Hodnocena jsou také získaná data s výsledky jiných odborných publikací a šetření.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the screening examination of hearing in newborns. The theoretical part of the thesis deals briefly with the anatomy, physiology and development of the auditory organ, hearing defects, their diagnosis and treatment. The following is information of newborn screening, including hearing screening with the legislative framework. The methodology of hearing screening and types of examinations are described in more detail, including the role of the midwife/newborn nurse in performing newborn hearing screening. There is also a basic overview of screening of newborns in selected countries from the EU and in the world. The research part presents the results of a research survey in 2 district hospitals in the South Bohemian region. There is an evaluation of the set goals, research questions, set hypotheses and assumptions. The obtained data with the results of other professional publications and surveys are also evaluated.
