Criminality of women visiting a low-threshold day center in Prague

Abstract:

Cílem práce je analyzovat kriminalitu žen bez domova, se zaměřením na ženy navštěvující nízkoprahová denní centra v Praze. Dílčím cílem práce je formulovat soubor doporučení pro odborníky pomáhající ženám bez domova v oblasti eliminace kriminálního jednání. Práce je koncipována jako teoreticko-praktická. V teoretické části jsou popsána specifika bezdomovectví žen, zastoupení kriminality u této skupiny obyvatel a také možnosti sociální práce v rámci prevence a řešení kriminality žen bez domova. Cílem výzkumu bylo identifikovat možnosti prevence a řešení kriminality žen bez domova v hlavním městě Praha. Výzkum byl koncipován jako kvalitativní. Probíhal v organizaci Jako doma. Výzkumný soubor tvořily tři klientky a tři pracovnice organizace. Data byla zpracována pomocí zakotvené teorie. Výstupem je navržená teorie a soubor doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the crime rate of homeless women, with a focus on women attending low-threshold day centres in Prague. A sub-objective of the thesis is to formulate a set of recommendations for professionals helping homeless women in the field of elimination of criminal behaviour. The work is conceived as theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the specifics of homelessness of women, the representation of criminality in this group of the population and also the possibilities of social work in the framework of prevention and solution of crime of homeless women. The aim of the research was to identify the possibilities of preventing and solving crime of homeless women in the capital city of Prague. The research was designed as qualitative. It was carried out in the organisation Jako doma. The research sample consisted of three clients and three female workers of the organization. The data was processed using grounded theory. The output is a proposed theory and a set of recommendations for practice.
