Application of accounting principle of precedence of substance over form in financial statements of contributory organizations in education field

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá aplikací účetní zásady přednosti obsahu před formou do účetních závěrek příspěvkových organizací v oblasti školství. Hlavním cílem je pak odpovědět na otázku, zda základní školy zřizované ve formě příspěvkových organizací obcemi, tuto zásadu aplikují. Odpověď čtenář nalezne v praktické části této práce, která problematiku zkoumá na reprezentativním příkladu užití školních budov. Teoretická část pak zasazuje zkoumanou problematiku do kontextu koncepčního rámce mezinárodních účetních standardů a jeho srovnáním s legislativou národní.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the application of the accounting principle of the precedence of substance over form in financial statements of contributory organizations in the education field. We aim to answer the question whether primary schools established in the form of contributory organizations by municipalities do apply this principle. The reader will find the answer in the analytical part of this work, which examines the issue on a specific example – the use of school buildings. The theoretical part describes the researched issues in the context of the conceptual framework of international accounting standards, compared to Czech legislation.
