Implementation od Security Features in Corporate PC Network

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá návrhem možného řešení, jehož aplikací by mělo být dosaženo efektivní ochrany lokální počítačové sítě proti známým i doposud neznámým zranitelnostem, které se v dnešní době v oblasti informačních technologií objevují stále častěji. Konkrétně si tato práce klade za cíl najít optimální řešení ochrany proti nevyžádané poště a útokům na počítačovou síť. Navržené řešení musí vyhovovat stávajícím i budoucím požadavkům, které s sebou přinese další vývoj v oblasti bezpečnosti informačních systémů. V úvodu práce jsem krátce popsal současný trend v oblasti počítačové bezpečnosti. Kapitola Teoretická část je rozdělena na dvě části. V první je diskutována problematika nevyžádané elektronické pošty, druhá část je pak věnována popisu ostatních bezpečnostních hrozeb a možné ochraně proti nim. V kapitole Popis výchozího stavu je analyzována stávající síťová infrastruktura zadavatele projektu. Vlastní návrh řešení ochrany počítačové sítě je rozpracován v kapitolách Realizace antispamové ochrany a Realizace IDS/IPS řešení. Závěrečná kapitola popisuje přínosy navrhovaného řešení a současně se zamýšlí nad dalším rozvojem informační bezpečnosti firmy.

Abstract:

The focal point of this diploma thesis is the project of a possible solution to effective protection of a local computer networks from known as well as yet unknown vulnerability that are currently growing rife in the field of information technology. In the concrete, the aim of this paper is to find the optimal solution guarding against spam and attacks on computer network. The proposed solution has to meet the actual as well as future requirements following the technology news of the information system security. In the introduction I have briefly described the recent trend in the computer security area. The chapter “Theoretical part” is divided into two parts. The problems involved in spam are discussed in the first part, the second one is concerned with the other potential security threats and with the possible action against them. The starting condition of the network of the project submitter is analysed in the chapter “Description of the baseline”. The proper protection design of a computer network is executed in the chapters “Realization of the antispam protection” and “Realization of the IDS/IPS solution”. The benefits of the proposed solution are defined in the final chapter. There are also mentioned the intended advancement of the information safety in the submitter company.
