Abstract:

Denní tisk je formován veřejným míněním a vládní mocí. Zároveň má však moc veřejný konsenzus i vládnoucí garnituru ovlivňovat. Tato diplomová práce předkládá výsledek obsahové analýzy čísel Rudého práva a Mladé fronty Dnes z let 1989, 1990 a 1991. Při výzkumu byla vyhledávána přítomnost tématiky evropské integrace ve zpravodajství i publicistice. Výsledky bádání byly následně roztříděny do specifických fenoménů. Čtenář práce se seznámí s postupnou emancipací Mladé fronty krátce před listopadem 1989, s okolnostmi vzniku moderního euroskeptismu a proevropanství, se snahou porevoluční žurnalistiky najít pro Československo „místo v Evropě“, s traumatem z rozkladu tradičního středoevropského mezinárodního partnerství a podobně. Cílem práce nebylo přednést skutečný efekt jmenovaných fenoménů na společnost, ale demonstrovat jejich projekci do denního tisku. Práce také obsahuje stručné pojednání o dějinách evropské integrace v druhé polovině 20. století se zřetelem na rozšiřování ES.

Abstract:

A daily press is shaped by the public opinion and by the government’s power. Simultaneously, it has itself a potential to influence both the public consensus and the government. This diploma thesis presents results of the content analysis of ″Rudé právo″ and ″Mladá fronta Dnes″ from years 1989, 1990 and 1991. In research it was being sought the presence of the topics of European integration in the coverage and in the opinion journalism. Results of the research were consequently classified into specific phenomena. A reader of the thesis will be acquainted with the progressive emancipation of Mladá fronta shortly before the November 1989, with the circumstances of birth of modern Euroscepticism and Pro-Europeanism, with the tendency of the post-revolutionary journalism to find for Czechoslovakia its ″place in Europe″, with the trauma from the disintegration of a traditional Mid-European partnership and so on. However, the goal of the thesis was not to report the practical effect of the phenomena named above, it was to demonstrate their projection to a daily press. The thesis includes a brief exposition of the history of European integration in the second half of the 20th century with regards to the expansion of the EC.
