Social insurance contributions in relation to pension aspects

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na povinnost sociálních odvodů a následnou výši starobního důchodu u vybraných skupin poplatníků (zaměstnanců a osob samostatně výdělečně činných). U zaměstnanců se také zaměřuje na rozdíly v odvodech a důchodech v závislosti na výši příjmů, délce doby pojištění a počtu vychovaných dětí. Nejprve je v teoretické části objasněn celkový systém sociálního zabezpečení, a kromě podrobně popsané situace v České republice, jsou uvedeny i důchodové systémy na Slovensku, v Rakousku, v Nizozemí a ve Švédsku. Následně je v praktické části objasněn vývoj ovlivňující udržitelnost důchodového systému a konkrétně jsou sestaveny modelové příklady, na kterých lze objasnit vztah mzdy (a tedy i sociálních odvodů) a starobního důchodu. Na základě zjištěných výsledků jsou na závěr doporučeny změny, které by ovlivnily výši sociálních odvodů a starobního důchodu.

Abstract:

Thesis focuses on the obligation of social insurance contributions and the resulting level of retirement pensions for selected groups of taxpayers (employees and self-employed persons). For employees, work also focuses on the differences in contributions and pension levels based on the level of income, the length of insurance period and the number of children raised. At first, the theoretical part of the thesis describes the whole social security system and the current situation not only in Czech Republic, but pension systems of Slovakia, Austria, the Netherlands and Sweden are also included. Subsequently, the practical part describes the development affecting the sustainability of the pension system and puts together concrete model examples, which can identify the relationship between wages (thus social contributions) and the retirement pensions. Based on the results, changes that would affect the level of social security contributions and retirement pension are advised.
