Management of the Production Enterprise Using the Theory of a Circular Economy

Abstract:

Hypotézou bakalářské práce je tvrzení, že principy cirkulární ekonomiky aplikované ve výrobním podniku, a změny, které tyto principy vyžadují, přinášejí konkurenční výhodu podniku a zlepšují jeho postavení na trhu a jako výsledek mohou tvořit finanční a strategickou výhodu podniku. Prokázat nebo vyvrátit hypotézu se pokusím pomocí takových metod výzkumu jako zkoumání externího a interního prostředí podniku a srovnání podniku s konkurenčními podniky. Byly zvoleny následující analytické nástroje pro zpracování kvantitativních, kvalitativních a sekundárních dat: SWOT analýza a matice konkurenčního profilu. Za účelem zjednodušení a možnosti detailnější prezentace principů cirkulární ekonomiky v praxi byl zvolen program Cradle to Cradle®, který poskytuje příležitost znázornění konkrétních kroků a změn ve výrobních procesech a řízení výrobních podniků, včetně společnosti Desso BV. Závěrečná část bakalářské práce obsahuje mimo jiné informace o dopadu principů cirkulární ekonomiky na sociální odpovědnost výrobních podniků, převážně nadnárodních korporací. Cílem práce bude prokázat, že implementace principů cirkulární ekonomiky v řízení výrobního podniku přináší konkurenční výhodu a zlepšuje jeho postavení na trhu.

Abstract:

The hypothesis of the bachelor thesis is that the principles of the circular economy applied in the production enterprise and the changes that these principles require bring competitive advantage to the business and improve its position in the market and as a result may create the financial and strategic advantage of the enterprise. To prove or rebut the hypothesis, I will try to use research methods such as exploring the external and internal environment of an enterprise and comparing business with competing businesses. The following analytical tools were used to process quantitative, qualitative and secondary data: SWOT analysis and competitive profile matrix. The Cradle to Cradle® program has been selected in practice to simplify and provide a more detailed presentation of circular economy principles in practice, providing an opportunity to illustrate specific steps and changes in manufacturing processes and management of manufacturing businesses, including Desso BV. The final part of the bachelor thesis contains, among other things, information about the impact of circular economy principles on the social responsibility of manufacturing companies, mostly multinational corporations. The aim of the work will be to prove that the implementation of the principles of a circular economy in the management of a production company brings a competitive advantage and improves its position in the market.
