Education and evaluation of elementary school students from the perspective of pedagogical ethics and pedagogical psychology

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá rozdíly v diskursech pedagogické etiky a pedagogické psychologie. Pomocí kritické diskursivní analýzy zkoumá rozdíly v zásadách týkajících se hodnocení a vzdělávání žáků základních škol. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V první kapitole teoretické části bude uvedena pedagogická problematika z hlediska výchovy a vzdělávání dětí školního věku. Druhá kapitola se zaměří na pedagogickou axiologii, konkrétně na otázku hodnot a na různé typy a koncepce hodnocení výkonů žáků základních škol. Třetí kapitola uvede etický přístup k hodnocení v pedagogice. Čtvrtá kapitola uvede psychologický přístup k hodnocení v pedagogice. Praktická část si klade za cíl pomocí metody kritické diskursivní analýzy (CDA) prozkoumat rozdíly v eticky a v psychologicky zaměřených diskursech. Výsledek analýzy by měl potvrdit nebo vyvrátit platnost předpokladu, že pedagogická etika předepisuje všem stejná pravidla hodnocení, zatím co pedagogická psychologie přihlíží k individuálním danostem a schopnostem žáků, kterým hodnocení přizpůsobuje. Záměrem práce je přispět k posílení pedagogického hlediska, které je schopné zohlednit jednotlivé psychické i fyzické dispozice žáků a tím předcházet raným frustracím ze školní docházky a jejich případnému rozvoji v problematických sociálních vazbách.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis explores the differences in the discourses of educational ethics and educational psychology. Using critical discourse analysis, it explores the differences in the principles of assessment and education of primary school pupils. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part will introduce the pedagogical issues from the perspective of the education of school-age children. The second chapter will focus on pedagogical axiology, specifically on the question of values and on different types and approaches to the evaluation of primary school pupils' performance. The third chapter will present an ethical approach to assessment in pedagogy. The fourth chapter will present a psychological approach to assessment in pedagogy. The practical section aims to use the method of critical discourse analysis (CDA) to explore the differences in ethical and psychological discourses in pedagogy. The result of the analysis should verify or refute the validity of the assumption that pedagogical ethics prescribes the same rules of assessment for all, while educational psychology takes into account the individual characteristics and abilities of the pupils to which it adapts the assessment. The intention of this thesis is to contribute to the strengthening of a pedagogical perspective that is able to take into account the individual psychological and physical dispositions of pupils, thus preventing early frustrations with schooling and their eventual development in problematic social relationships.
