Labour competence for Industry 4.0 and their role in maintaining the competitiveness of businesses in selected EU countries

Abstract:

Čtvrtá průmyslová revoluce mění tvář celé naší společnosti a způsob života, kterým žijeme. Největší dopad má na situaci na pracovním trhu. Mění se role zaměstnanců v podnicích, jejich pracovní náplň i požadavky na kompetence. Cílem diplomové práce je určit požadavky na klíčové kompetence pracovních pozic na pozadí čtvrté průmyslové revoluce, které jsou důležité k zachování konkurenceschopnosti obchodních podniků ve vybraných zemích EU. V literární rešerši budou popsány technologie a nejdůležitější změny, které čtvrtá průmyslová revoluce přináší. Dále budou nastíněny iniciativy jednotlivých zemí, způsoby měření připravenosti jednotlivých zemí na Industry 4.0 a pojmy pracovní schopnost a kompetence. Pro dosažení stanovených cílů budou použita data dovedností z výzkumu PIAAC a budou zpracována pomocí faktorové analýzy ve statistickém programu STATISTICA. Výsledky faktorové analýzy budou porovnány s indexem ESI týkající se dovedností. Následně bude zjištěn rozdíl mezi požadovanými a nabízenými dovednostmi na pracovních trzích ve vybraných zemích a sepsány nejčastěji poptávané dovednosti. V závěru bude provedeno shrnutí dosažených informací.

Abstract:

The Fourth Industrial Revolution changes the face of our entire society and the way we live. The biggest impact is on the labour market situation. The role of employees in businesses, their workload and competency requirements are changing. The thesis aims to identify requirements for key job competencies against the backdrop of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which are important to maintain the competitiveness of businesses in selected EU countries. Literary research will describe technology and the most important changes the Fourth Industrial Revolution brings. In addition, country initiatives for Industry 4.0, ways of measuring country readiness for Industry 4.0, and notions of work capability and competence will be outlined. Skills data from PIAAC research will be used to achieve the objectives set and will be processed using factor analysis in the Statistics Statistical Programme. The results of the factor analysis will be compared with the ESI skills index. The difference between required skills and offered skills in the labour markets in the selected countries will be identified and the most frequently required skills will be written down. A summary of the information achieved will be drafted at the end.
