Observance of medical staff competencies in practice

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kompetencí u zdravotnických asistentů. Teoretická část diplomové práce nabízí informace o historii ošetřovatelství a vývoji zdravotnických škol až do současnosti. Dále je pozornost věnována vzdělání zdravotnického asistenta, od organizace vzdělávání po osobnost zdravotnického asistenta a jeho uplatnění na trhu práce i v zahraničí. Práce se zabývá také managementem ve zdravotnictví, jeho organizačními strukturami, systémy poskytujícími ošetřovatelskou péči a nezastupitelnou funkcí ošetřovatelského týmu. Obsáhlá kapitola je věnována kompetencím zdravotnických asistentů, vymezení pojmů a vysvětlení odborného dohledu. Praktická část je zpracována kvantitativní metodou pomocí nestandardizovaného anonymního dotazníku pro všeobecné sestry a zdravotnické asistenty. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit u zdravotnických asistentů, zda znají své kompetence, zda své kompetence dodržují, a dále zjistit, jak funguje spolupráce mezi zdravotnickými asistenty a všeobecnými sestrami.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issues of competency of medical assistants. The theoretical part provides information on the history of nursing and development of medical schools until now. The following chapter focuses on education of medical assistants, from organising the curriculum up to the personality development and employment options also in foreign countries. The work also outlines healthcare management, organisational structures, systems providing nursing care and the irreplaceable role of medical staff. A detailed chapter is devoted to the competencies of medical assistants, definitions and explanation of the supervision. The practical part was elaborated by quantitative method on the basis of non-standardised anonymous questionnaires intended for nurses and medical assistants. The main objective was to find out how familiar medical assistants are with their competencies, whether they observe their competences, as well as to find out how smooth is the collaboration between medical assistants and general nurses.
