Wage Issues with a Focus on Employee Benefits

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá mzdovou problematikou a souvisejícími zaměstnaneckými benefity. Úvod práce tvoří úprava mzdové problematiky v českém právu. Dále je v práci obsaženo odměňování zaměstnanců celkovou odměnou, jejíž část tvoří mzda, plat nebo jiná odměna (tyto druhy odměn jsou blíže popsány a probrány). V této práci jsou dále vymezeny povinné odvody z mezd, kterými jsou sociální pojištění a daň z příjmů. Po tomto vymezení následuje schéma účtování a také souhrnný příklad, který názorně zobrazuje výpočet čisté mzdy zaměstnance. V další části práce jsou popsány zaměstnanecké benefity – jejich definice a členění dle více hledisek. Poslední část práce tvoří praktická část, která má za cíl analyzovat situaci týkající se poskytování benefitů v rámci konkrétní společnosti působící na českém trhu. Závěrem práce jsou návrhy a doporučení, které vyplynuly z provedené analýzy.

Abstract:

This master’s thesis is concerned with wages and corresponding employee benefits. Its introduction is composed of the modification of Czech laws pertaining to wages. Additionally, this work discusses the rewarding of employees with the total reward, part of which is wage, salary or a different kind of reward (the different types of rewards are described in detail and closely examined). Furthermore, this thesis addresses required wage deductions such as insurance and income tax. This topic is consequently followed by an accounting schema along with a comprehensive example illustrating the calculating an employee’s net income. The subsequent section describes employee benefits – their definitions and differentiation in accordance with various standpoints. The last section of this thesis includes a practical portion, whose goal is to analyze a situation pertaining to employee benefits within a given company on the Czech market. Lastly, the conclusion consists of suggestions and recommendations that stem from the conducted analysis.
