Comparasion of aspects of quality of live of persons with mental retardation in sheltered housing and in constitucional institution

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o úrovni života lidí se zdravotním postižením, kteří žijí v zařízeních sociální péče a v nově vznikajících chráněných bydleních. Teoretická část se zamyslí nad kvalitou lidského života obecně, pak teoreticky rozebere zákonitosti mentální retardace, příčiny jejího vzniku a její stručné členění. Následně uvede nahlédnutí do zákona o sociálních službách, který podmiňuje zvyšování kvality života osob žijících v zařízeních sociální péče. Jsou zde také uvedeny prvky ústavu sociální péče a chráněného bydlení, ze kterých jsou jasně zřejmé rozdíly v poskytovaných službách a v životě klientů vůbec. Nakonec se zaměří na teoretické transformační záměry vybraného zařízení sociální péče. V praktické části jsou uvedeny mé konkrétní poznatky z práce s lidmi v ústavních zařízeních a v chráněném bydlení. Popisuji konkrétní případy celé fáze přechodu uživatelů sociálních služeb do chráněného bydlení, včetně problémů a potíží, které se v průběhu vyskytovaly. Jsou popsány různé možné příčiny úspěšného nebo neúspěšného přechodu a adaptace na nové prostředí. Je nabídnuta konfrontace jednotlivých jevů, které byly běžné v ústavech sociální péče, ale v chráněném bydlení již nikoli.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the level of life of poeple with disabilites living in institutions of social care and in recently emerging sheltered housing. The theoretical part will look at the quality of human life in general, then it will analyze patterns of mental retardation, the cause of it´s forming and it´s brief subdivision. Then it will insert the look-in to the Law on Social Services, which makes the quality of life of people living in institutions of social care. There are also listed elements of institution of social care and shelterted housing, of witch are clearly distinct differences in the services provided and clients lives at all. Finally, it will focus on the theoretical transformation projects selected institution of social care. The practical part given my specific knowledge of working with people in a institution of social care and sheltered housing. It describes specific cases of all stadiums the transition of social service users in sheltered housing, including the problems and difficulties that occurred in the course. There are described various possible causes of a successful or failed transition and adaptation to new surrounding. It´s offered a confrontation of different phenomena that are common in instiucions of social care, but in sheltered housing has not.
