Impact of economic crisis on the Czech printing market

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci jsem rozhodl jsem se popsat dopady hospodářské krize na polygrafický trh jako celek a následně i na vybrané polygrafické provozy vybrané pro případové studie. Hlavní pozornost jsem věnoval změnám, které hospodářská recese vtiskla polygrafickému průmyslu a také jejímu vlivu na rozhodování jednotlivých podnikatelů. Jako cíl svojí diplomové práce jsem si stanovil popis procesu proměny fungování sledovaného trhu pod tlakem hospodářského poklesu a pozitivních podnětů, které krize přinesla sledovaným společnostem. V teoretické části rozeberu hlavní rysy hospodářské recese uplynulých let a její projevy v polygrafickém oboru. Soustředím se také na sílící projevy globalizace ve sledovaném odvětví a vlivy mezinárodní ekonomiky na stav českého polygrafického trhu. Dále zhodnotím vliv recese na technologické postupy, rozsah a typ standardní tiskové zakázky, obchodní zvyklosti a finanční toky. Velmi zajímavým pohledem na projevy hospodářských těžkostí je jejich schopnost vyvolávat inovační procesy. Druhou, tedy aplikační část práce, věnuji rozboru současného stavu jednotlivých subjektů vybraných jako typických zástupců trhu. Nejdříve provedu srovnání situace firem před krizí a po jejím skončení. K tomuto průzkumu použiji dostupné ekonomické informace i vlastní poznatky z polygrafického trhu. V druhé fázi využiji obdobného postupu, který jsem vytvořil pro potřeby bakalářské práce. Pomocí rozhovorů a připraveného dotazníku získám pohled na sledovanou problematiku přímo od zainteresovaných podnikatelů. Za cíl aplikační části diplomové práce si kladu popis změn fungování sledovaných polygrafických provozů v době ekonomické recese a srovnání s projevy krize na trhu i v ekonomice jako celku. Konečným výstupem tedy bude návrh opatření pro typický polygrafický subjekt vedoucí ke zvládnutí hospodářského poklesu a návod pro podnikatele v polygrafii jak z období krize vyjít silnější a lépe připraveni na podobné otřesy v budoucnu.

Abstract:

In this thesis, I decided to describe the effects of economic crisis on the market as a whole and, consequently, on the selected printing operations described in the thesis. The main attention is devoted to the changes that the economic recession made in the printing industry and also its influence on individual entrepreneurs and their decisions. As the objectives of the thesis, I chose a description of the process of changes the operation of the reference market under pressure of economic decline and positive influence that crisis has brought to the mentioned companies. In the theoretical part I will look at the main features of the economic recession during last years and its manifestation in the printing industry. I will also focus on the growing manifestations of globalization in the reference sector and international economy influences on the state of the Czech printing market. Furthermore, I will evaluate the impact of recession on the printing processes, the extent and type of standard print order, business practices and financial flows. It will provide a very interesting look at the sign of how to cope with economic difficulties and how to find ability to produce innovative processes. The second, practical part of the theses, I will devote to analyzing the current status of the individual subjects used as typical members of market. First, I will provide a comparison of the companies situation before the crisis and then after. In this survey I will use available economic information as well as mine own knowledge of the printing market. In the second phase I will use a similar procedure I created for the purpose of the bachelor thesis. Through interviews and a prepared questionnaire I will get views of the followed issue directly from the involved entrepreneurs. The main objectives of the application part of the diploma thesis is description of the observed changes in the operation of printing plants in times of economic recession and a comparison with the effects of crisis on the market and economy as a whole. The final output will be then the draft measures for typical printing company to cope with the economic downturns and instructions for printing businessmen how to get out of the crises stronger and also better prepared for similar shocks in the future.
