Linear electromagnetic actuator with control system

Abstract:

Předložená práce se zabývá návrhem elektromagnetického lineárního aktuátoru s řídicím systémem. Na základě rešerše byla vybrána uspořádání aktuátoru, která byla zkoumána pomocí matematických modelů v programu COMSOL Multiphysics 5.6. Matematické modely se zabývaly výpočtem velikosti sil působících na jezdec pro různé polohy na polohovací dráze, možností použití diamagnetického materiálu pro snížení tření mezi jezdcem a pracovní deskou a dále možností magnetického vedení jezdce. Výsledky matematických modelů vedly k návrhu dvou lineárních aktuátorů a několika topologií jejich jezdců. Vyrobeny tedy byly dva typy aktuátoru včetně jezdců a jejich základní funkčnost byla experimentálně ověřena. Dále bylo navrženo schéma řídicí elektroniky, na základě kterého byla vytvořena deska plošných spojů. Po osazení a oživení elektroniky byla experimentálně ověřena její funkčnost společně s aktuátory. Pro elektroniku dále byly doprogramovány nové funkce v rámci společného řídicího kódu pro polohovací zařízení výzkumného týmu CIMRA. Z experimentů vyplynulo, že zvolené uspořádání aktuátorů a jezdců nedosahuje požadovaných parametrů polohování, zejména z důvodu neudržení přímého směru jezdce na pracovní desce. V závěru práce jsou tedy nastíněny možné příčiny těchto chyb a navrhnuta jejich řešení.

Abstract:

Submitted thesis deals with the design of electromagnetic linear actuator with control system. The topology of the actuator was based on research and studied by mathematical models in COMSOL Multiphysics 5.6. The mathematical models were concerned with the calculation of the forces affecting the rider in different positions on the positioning track, the possibility of usage of diamagnetic material in order to reduce friction between the rider and the positioning desk and the possibility of magnetic guidance of the rider. The results of the mathematical models led to design of two linear actuators and several topologies of the riders. Two types of actuators were constructed with their riders and basic funcionality was experimentally verified. Then, the scheme of the control electronics was designed and, based on the scheme, the printed circuit board was created. After fitting and debugging, the functionality of the electronics was experimentally verified together with the actuators. New functions for the electronics were programmed under the common control code for the positioning devices of the research team CIMRA. The experiments showed that topology of the actuators and the riders do not achieve demanded positioning parametres, mainly because of the problems with the direct movement of the riders. In the conclusion, the possible causes of these faults are explained and their solution is proposed.
