The relation of the State and the Church in the days of Hussites

Abstract:

Moje práce pojednává o Vztahu státu a církve v době husitské. Má dvě hlavní části. Část domácí, která obsahuje Čryři artikuly pražské, sněmovní usnesení, Chebského soudce, Jihlavská kompaktáta a Majestát císaře Zikmunda. Druhá část, zahraniční, obsahuje půhon na českou šlechtu, vyhlášení křížové výpravy a dokumenty vážící se k sesazení Konráda z Vechty. Práce je na úvod doplněna obecnou historií a učením Jana Husa a na závěr shrnutím vztahu státu a církve v době husitské na základě předložených dokumentů.

Abstract:

My thesis deals with relation of the State and the Church in the days of Hussites. My thesis have two main parts. First part contains several legal documents published in the Kingdom of Bohemia since the end of the Council of Constance till 1436. It concerns The Four Articles of Prague published in 1420 and each part is described separately, chosen parliamentary resolutions as Čáslav assembly 1421, Brno assembly 1421, St. Havel?s assembly 1423, St. Martin?s assembly 1433 and St. Valentin?s assembly 1435. There are also Chebský soudce 1432, Compacta of Jihlava from 5th July 1436 and Imperial charter of Zikmund on freedom on religion from 1436. The second part talks about few foreign documents as Summons on Czech nobility from 1416 written by the Council of Constance after their protest against the burning of John Hus, declaration of The Crusades against heretics in Bohemia in 1420 and degradation of Prague archbishop Konrád from Vechta. My thesis have also starter part where is the history of hussites and John Hus and in the end the thesis assesses the relation between the State and the Church, on the basis of above mentioned documents and answer the question if the Hussites era was beneficial somehow for the Czech lands.
