Analysis of agrotourism in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat současný stav agroturistiky v České republice a zároveň zhodnotit zda agroturistika zaujme silnou pozici na trhu cestovního ruchu v trávení volného času tuzemskými turisty. Na základě zjištěných údajů vypracovat a navrhnout programy a marketingové návrhy, které by pomohly rozvoji agroturistiky a upevnili její pozici. Práce se v teoretické části zabývá základními pojmy – cestovní ruch, udržitelný cestovní ruch, rozdělení venkovského cestovního ruchu. Dále jsou rozebrány negativní i pozitivní dopady podnikání v agroturistice. Následuje výčet organizací zabývajících se podporou venkovské turistiky na národní a mezinárodní úrovni. V hlavní praktické části jsou rozebrány výsledky marketingového průzkumu, který byl veden za pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Dále podrobná SWOT analýza popisující současný stav agroturistiky v České republice. Ná základě těchto údajů jsou v návrhové části popsány specifické návrhy pro agroturistiku, jak zlepšit poskytování služeb v cestovním ruchu a podpořit propagaci agroturistiky. Dále jsou vytvořeny konkrétní balíčky a propagační materiály pro rodinnou agrofarmu – leták, dárkový poukaz, produkt farmářské bedýnky, speciální svatební den a vánoční trávení času.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to appraise the current situation in agro tourism in the Czech Republic and also the potential interest of the population living in Prague in this type of leisure activity. On the basis of relevant analysis from primary and secondary research, there appears to be arguments against or supporting the agro tourism growth. The theoretical part of this thesis describes in basic terms the relationship to tourism, green tourism and website sources about agro tourism. Information is gathered from secondary sources such as educational literature explains different kinds of green tourism and also websites that relate to agro tourism issues.The practical part of the thesis is market research completed through questionnaires which containing 24 questions in open, half-open, closed and half-closed format.A SWOT analysis is also used to find out strengths and weaknesses of agro tourism in the Czech Republic and also opportunities and threats which this industry is currently facing. Finally, the SWOT analysis is used to define developments and strategies in agro tourism in the Czech Republic, which can positively influence the agro tourism growth.The recommendations suggests a list of steps how to improve the current situation in agro tourism. These steps include promotional materials for family agro farm to allow a stable platform in the market and to be competitive in the industry. These promotional materials suggested - promotional leaflets, gift’s vouchers, new product farm’s boxes, wedding concepts, wedding promotional leaflets and customer surveys.
