Street art as one of the expressions of hip-hop subculture

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o pouličním umění vznikajícím v rámci hip-hopové subkultury. Hip-hopová subkultura prezentuje specifickou uměleckou formu, zahrnující rap, deejaying, breakdance a graffiti. A právě na nové podoby graffiti, tedy postgraffiti, neboli street art, se práce zaměřuje. Tato zobrazení jsou zkoumána i ve vztahu k graffiti a hip-hopu – především jeho hudební složce. V závěru je nabízena otázka: “zda může být street art pokládán za plnohodnotné umění či nikoli“, ale jelikož je vzhledem k dějinám umění velmi mladou tvorbou, jsou tyto spekulace záměrně ponechány otevřené. Hlavním cílem je přiblížit čtenářům problematiku celé subkultury. Práce je jakýmsi příspěvkem k rozšíření zájmů oboru, má především seznamující charakter, může být tedy inspirací a pomocí ke studiu uměleckých projevů této subkultury pro další bádání.

Abstract:

This writing deals with a street art which has evolved as a part of a hip-hop subculture. Hip.hop subculture presents a specific art form which includes rap, deejaying, breakdance and graffiti. It is focusing on a new form of graffiti thus postgraffiti also known as a street art. These images are axamined in relation to the graffiti and hip-hop - mainly to his music factor. In conclusion it is asked " whether the street art is consider as an adequate art or not" . But because in regard to the history of art it is a very young form these speculations are left opened. The main goal is to clarify the problem of the whole subculture to the public. This writing should be conductive to spread the interests of this field. The writing is particulary indicative and it might be found inspiring and helpful in studying the art characters of this subculture for more reaserch.
