Cílem této práce je zachytit vývoj populace města Klimkovic na přelomu 19. a 20. století a srovnat jej s vývojem blízké Ostravy. V první řadě byla pomocí excerpce sčítacích operátů potvrzena hypotéza o vlivu průmyslové Ostravy na skladbu obyvatelstva Klimkovic, kterému nabízela zejména řadu pracovních příležitostí. The aim of this work is to capture the development of the population of the town of Klimkovice at the turn of the 20th century and to compare it with the development of nearby Ostrava.
