Family in the process of resocialization of convicted perspective

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou vlivu rodiny na proces resocializace ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody, a to z pohledu odsouzených. Právě jejich vnímání důležitosti rodiny je zde klíčové. Cílem je tedy zjistit, jakým způsobem ovlivňuje rodina proces resocializace z pohledu odsouzeného. Teoretická část pojednává o problémech týkajících se tématu a člení se do tří kapitol, kdy v první popisujeme rodinu jako rizikový a podpůrný faktor, ve druhé se dále zabýváme rodinou a jejím vlivem na vznik kriminality a sociálními vlivy a třetí kapitola popisuje trest odnětí svobody a resocializaci. V empirické části zjišťujeme, jestli dochází u odsouzených ke změně názorů k určitým společenským normám, zda odsouzený vnímá rodinu jako přátelskou a pomáhající, jakou vizi budoucnosti mají odsouzení po návratu z vězení a jestli idealizace rodiny ovlivňuje motivaci k dokončení procesu resocializace.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the potential influence a family has on the process of re-socialization during the period of imprisonment from the point of view of the convicted person. The theoretical part which is divided into three chapters looks at the various issues concerning this topic - the first chapter discusses family as a support and a risk factor, the second chapter examines family's influence on the development of criminality and other social influences. The third and final chapter of the theoretical part describes the prison sentence and the process of re-socialization. The empirical part investigates if, after serving the sentence, there is any shift in the attitude towards social norms, if the convicted person perceives their family as supportive, as well as what are the prisoner's visions of their future after they are released from prison, and if the idealization of family has any effect on their motivation to re-socialize.
