Automated retrieval of records from PACS

Abstract:

The motivation for the creation of this work is to increase the robustness and to optimize the process of downloading metadata from the measurement of people for the purpose of neurological research. Thesis deals with the analysis of the existing solution, as well as the design and implementation of a new application, which offers defined options of downloading data acquired through radiodiagnostic devices. The speed of downloading this data was a priority when creating a new implementation, as the data needs to be processed after the measurement and uploaded to the database as soon as possible. The resulting program consists entirely of scripts, which allows it's use across different platforms. The implementation is part of the MAFILDB system, which controls the flow of data from it's measurement to the point of working with this data using a web application.

Abstract:

Motiváciou pre vznik tejto práce je zvýšenie robustnosti a optimalizácia procesu sťahovania metadát o meraní osôb za účelom neurologického výskumu. Práca sa zaoberá analýzou doterajšieho riešenia, ako aj návrhom a implementáciou novej aplikácie, ponúkajúcej definované možnosti sťahovania dát získaných rádiodiagnostickými prístrojmi. Rýchlosť sťahovania týchto údajov bola prioritou pri tvorbe novej implementácie, keďže dáta je po nameraní potrebné spracovať a nahrať do databázy čo najskôr. Výsledný program je tvorený výhradne skriptami, čo umožňuje jeho používanie naprieč rozdielnymi platformami. Implementácia je súčasťou systému MAFILDB, ktorý riadi tok údajov od ich namerania až po prácu s týmito údajmi pomocou webovej aplikácie.
