Public support of building cycling trails for tourism development

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je analýza a hodnocení podpory výstavby cyklistické infrastruktury z fondů Evropské unie prostřednictví operačních programů ČR za období 2007 - 2012 a z veřejných zdrojů České republiky do roku 2012. Pozornost byla zaměřena na projekty týkající se cyklistické dopravy, zejména pak na stavební projekty. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První dvě kapitoly jsou zaměřeny na teorii. Zde jsou popsány cíle, nástroje politiky cestovního ruchu a systém podpory cyklistické infrastruktury. Následující praktická část se zabývá konkrétní podporou budování sítě cyklostezek a cyklotras na území ČR.

Abstract:

The subject of this diploma thesis is the analysis and evaluation of the support of the construction of the cycling infrastructure funded by the European Union through the operational programs in the Czech Republic between 2007 and 2012, and funded from the public resources of the Czech Republic until 2012. The thesis focuses on projects related to the development of bicycle transportation with a special focus on construction projects. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first two chapters represent the theoretical background for the work. In these, the goals and methods of the policy of the travel industry and the system of the support of the construction of the cycling infrastructure are discussed. The following part of the thesis is a practical analysis of the system of the construction of the network of bicycle trails and paths in the Czech Republic.
