How the physically handicapped children and children without the handicap spend their leisure time and how they are satisfied with its content

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak děti ve věku 11 až 15 let s tělesným handicapem a bez handicapu využívají svůj volný čas a v čem jsou s jeho náplní spokojeny či nespokojeny. Nejprve je v práci vysvětleno pojetí volného času. Další část je věnovaná faktorům ovlivňujícím volný čas dítěte, tedy psychosociálnímu a biologickému vývoji, tělesnému handicapu, rodině, vrstevníkům, různým organizacím nabízejícím aktivity pro volný čas a hromadně sdělovacím prostředkům. Teoretickou část zakončuje pojednání o kvalitním využití volného času dětí. Jako vhodnou výzkumnou metodou byl zvolen kvalitativní výzkum, který byl prováděn pomocí rozhovoru. Výzkumný vzorek tvořili čtyři děti s tělesným postižením a čtyři děti bez handicapu, jejichž odpovědi byly porovnávány mezi sebou. Výzkum ukázal, že na volný čas obou skupin dětí, má vliv mnoho faktorů, počínaje jejich osobnostní charakteristikou, přes tělesné postižení, rodiče, vrstevníky až po hromadně sdělovací prostředky. Byly zjištěny určité rozdíly ve využívání volného času dětí s tělesným handicapem a bez něj související zejména s tělesným postižením dětí. Výsledky zkoumání spokojenosti dětí s jejich náplní volného času jsou doplněny možnostmi řešení jejich individuálních problémů. V závěru práce jsou shrnuta zjištění a doporučení k jejich využití.

Abstract:

The purpose of the study was to find out how the physically handicapped children and children without the handicap from the age 11 till 15 spend their leisure time and how they are satisfied with its content. First part explains the term leisure time. Next part is concentrated on the factors which influence the childrens leisure time: the psychological, social and biological development, the physical handicap, the family, the peers, the organizations offering activities for leisure time and the media. The theoretical part is ended by chapter about qualitative leisure time fulfillment. The qualitative research was based on interviews with four physically handicapped children and four children without the handicap. Their answers were compared to find out the diferences. The research showed that the leisure time is influenced by factors such as personal characteristics, physical handicap, family, peers and media. Some diferences in how the two groups of children spend their leisure time appeared. The diferences mainly relate to the physical handicap. Findings of the children satisfaction with leisure time content were added with solution options their individual problems. The conclusion sums up the findings and suggest, how its can be used.
