Perception of mediation from the perspective of teachers and learners

Abstract:

This paper discusses mediation and mediation tasks in the context of German as a second language. Mediation is the process of conveying information from texts or language. The study found that mediation tasks are still being developed in this field and have not yet been included in all textbooks. The article aims to investigate how proposed mediation tasks are perceived by both pupils and teachers, with a focus on the second level of primary school. A questionnaire will be used to collect data from pupils, while an interview will be conducted to collect data from teachers.

Abstract:

Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema Mediation und Mediationsaufgaben. Unter Mediation versteht man die Vermittlung von Informationen aus Texten oder Sprache. Mediationsaufgaben sind im Bereich Deutsch als Zweitsprache noch in der Entwicklung und haben noch keinen Eingang in die Lehrwerke gefunden. Ziel dieses Beitrags ist es herauszufinden, wie die vorgeschlagenen Vermittlungsaufgaben nicht nur von den SchülerInnen, sondern auch von ihren Lehrkräften wahrgenommen werden. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der zweiten Stufe der Grundschule. Die Daten der Schülerinnen und Schüler werden mit Hilfe eines Fragebogens erhoben, die der Lehrkräfte mit Hilfe eines Interviews.
