The role of the mentor teacher in the professional development of novice kindergarten teachers

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je zachytit, jakým způsobem uvádějící učitelka poskytuje orientaci začínající učitelce ohledně informací o přípravě, průběhu a výsledcích vzdělávání ve vybrané mateřské škole v Brně. V úvodní části je popsána uvádějící učitelka jakožto mentor a začínající učitelka jako mentee a jak je na ně pohlíženo z textů odborné literatury. V empirické části je představen výzkum uvádějících učitelek, jakým způsobem pracují se začínajícími učitelkami a co je vede při přípravě a výsledcích vzdělávání. Práce také hodnotí pohled uvádějících učitelek na svoji činnost na začátku, kdy se začínající učitelky zapojily do procesu mateřské školy a jaký udělaly posun ve svém profesním rozvoji za dobu vedení uvádějící učitelkou.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out how the supervising teacher provides orientation in the field to a beginning teacher regarding information about the preparation, realization and outcomes of education in one kindergarten in Brno. The introductory part describes the supervising teacher as a mentor and the beginning teacher as a mentee and how they are viewed in the professional literature. The empirical part presents a research project of supervising teachers, how they work with beginning teachers and what guides them in the preparation and results of education. The thesis also evaluates the point of view of the supervising teachers on their activities at the beginning, at the phase when the beginning teachers became involved in the kindergarten process and what shifts they have made in their professional development during the guidance of the supervising teacher.
