Otrokářství a přesídlování v nejstarší české literatuře

Abstract:

Ve své práci o otrokářství a přesídlovaní ve starší české literatuře jsem se zaměřila především na rozbor legend a kronik. Hledáme v nich motivy otrokářství a přesídlovaní. V první kapitole se věnujeme otrokářství, jeho definici a základním pojmům. Nejvíce se zde dočteme o podobách otrokářství v Čechách 9. a 10. století. Otroci byli v té době považováni za mimořádně cenný majetek. Byli to většinou pohané a byli získáváni z válečných výprav. Co se týče druhé kapitoly, ta se zabývá přesídlovaním. Věnovali jsme se způsobům přepravy a motivům, které vedly k přesídlení. Na přelomu 11. a 12. století začal růst obyvatel a bylo třeba hledat nové území. Úzce s tím souvisí vznik vesnic a měst, kterými se v této kapitole také zabýváme. V poslední, třetí kapitole rozebíráme už konkrétní díla. Začínáme právními památkami, jmenovitě Zákon sudnyj ljudem a Penitenciál. Dále jsou podrobně rozebírány svatováclavské, ludmilské, prokopské a vojtěšské legendy, kde můžeme najít jak motivy otroctví, tak i motivy služby Bohu. Nejvíce dokladů o otroctví ale nalezneme v Kosmově kronice. Na jejich základě můžeme předpokládat existenci otroků v Čechách až do 12. století.

Abstract:

The thesis Slavery and Resettlement in Older Czech Literature is mainly focused on the analysis of legends and chronicles. The motifs of slavery and resettlement were examined in them. The first chapter deals with slavery, its definition and basic concepts. It is mainly focused on the forms of slavery in Bohemia in the 9th and 10th centuries. Slaves were considered to be an extremely valuable property at that time. They were mostly pagans and were acquired from war expeditions. The second chapter deals with resettlement. At the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries, the population began to grow and it was necessary to find new territory. It was closely related to the creation of villages and towns, also discussed in this chapter. The last chapter presents the analysis of specific pieces of work. Firstly, the legal documents (Zakon sudnyj Ljudem and the Penitential) were evaluated. Secondly, the St. Wenceslas, St. Ludmila, St. Adalbert and St. Prokop legends were analyzed in detail. They include the motifs of slavery as well as the service to God. However, the most evidence of slavery can be found in the Chronicle of Cosmos. Based on this evidence, we can suppose the existence of slaves in Bohemia until the 12th century.
