Technique selection in dancing: Lower limbs loading during two techniques of samba dance

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zjistit, zda existují rozdíly ve vybraných biomechanických parametrech, které jsou asociovány s rizikem zranění kolenního a hlezenního kloubu. Výzkumu se zúčastnili tři profesionální tanečníci latinsko-amerických tanců. Každý testovaný provedl 6 pokusů základního tanečního kroku zášvih patřící ke krokům tance samba. Provedení proběhlo v základní - klasické technice a moderním způsobem. Data byla naměřena a zpracována s využitím technologií kinetické a kinematické analýzy (silová plošina Kistler, systém Qualisys). Pro určení významnosti naměřených rozdílů jsme využili ukazatel effect size. Naměřená data prokázala zvýšené hodnoty reakční síly a kompresní síly v hlezenním a kolenním kloubu při provedení základního kroku moderní technikou.

Abstract:

The objective of thesis is to determine whether there are differences in selected biomechanical parameters that are associated with risk of injury to the knee and ankle joints. Three professional Latin America dancers took part in the research. Esch test subject performed 6 experiments of the basic samba step of the samba dance. The execution took place took place in basic - classic technique and in a modern way. The data were measured and processed using kinetic and kinematic analysis technologies (Kistler force platform, Qualisys system). We used the effect size indicator to determine the significance of the measured differences. The measured data proved to change the values of reaction force and compression force in the ankle and knee joint when performing the basic step of the modern technique.
