Estimation of noise covariances of time signal generator

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlastnostmi šumů generátorů časového signálu. Práce nejprve zavádí diskrétní stochastický stavový model systému a ukazuje některé statistické vlastnosti modelu. Následně jsou představeny generátory časového signálu jako oscilátory a popsán způsob tvorby jejich spojitého modelu spolu s modelováním chyb těchto generátorů. Poté je ukázána Metoda rozdílu měření jako nástroj pro odhad parametrů kovariančních matic šumů, které působí na generátory časového signálu. Tato metoda je postupně odvozena z rovnic samotného modelu. Následně je ukázána její aplikace na problematiku odhadu vlastností šumů pomocí dvou různých přístupů. Nakonec je metoda podstoupena simulacím, které ověřují její vlastnosti a kvalitu odhadů.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the properties of noises in time signal generators. The thesis first introduces a discrete stochastic state-space model of a system and shows some statistical properties of the model. Subsequently, the time signal generator as an oscillator is introduced and the method of constructing its continuous model is described, together with the modelling of the errors of this generator. Then, the Measurement Difference Method is shown as a tool for estimating parameters of covariance matrixes of the noises acting on time signal generators. This method is successively derived from the equations of the model itself. Its application to the problem of estimating noise properties is then shown using two different approaches. Finally, the method is subjected to simulations that verify its properties and the quality of the estimates.
