Ways of administrating Active Directory services and group policies using PowerShell script language.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je ukázat výhody skriptovacího jazyka PowerShell při správě adresářové služby Active Directory a porovnat ho s běžně používanými postupy. Součástí dále bude vytvoření sady skriptů pro správu Active Directory ve školním prostředí. Nejdříve se práce zabývá stručným popisem adresářové služby Active Directory, objektů skupinových politik a dále úvodem do skriptovacího jazyka PowerShell. V další kapitole jsou popsány způsoby administrace Active Directory a objektů skupinových politik pomocí dvou rozšíření PowerShellu pro Active Directory. První z nich je rozšíření od firmy Quest a druhý Windows SystemModules. Poslední část této práce popisuje a ověřuje skripty v PowerShellu pro administraci Active Directory v běžné praxi a zejména ve školním prostředí.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to show the advantages of the script language PowerShell when administering Active Directory and to compare it with common used methods. As a part of the thesis there will be created a set of scripts for administration of Active Directory in school environment. First the thesis focuses on brief description of Active Directory address service, objects of group politics and next on introduction of script language PowerShell. In the next chapter ways of the Active Directory administration are described as well as ways of objects of group politics using 2 extensions of PowerShell for Active Directory. The first extension is from the firm Quest and the second is Windows System Modules. The last part describes and tests the scripts in PowerShell for administration of Active Directory in common use and in school environment.
