Handprints in prehistoric parietal art and their use in the sex estimation
Abstract:
Cílem práce je zhodnotit využitelnost otisků rukou, které se nacházejí na stěnách paleolitických jeskyní při odhadu pohlaví tvůrců nástěnných maleb. V poslední době několik autorů prokázalo, že většina otisků jsou ženského původu. Součástí práce je diskuze nad důsledky těchto výsledků na genderovou problematiku v paleolitu a kritická evaluace možností odhadu po biologické stránce.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the usability of handprints that are found on the walls of Paleolithic caves in the sex estimation. Recently, several authors have shown that the majority of prints are made by women.
