The importance of event management in organizing world championships in sport aerobics

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je význam event managementu při organizaci údálosti Mistrovství světa ve sportovním aerobiku. Tato práce se zabývá event managementem a jeho podstatnými pilíři – plánování, průběh a vyhodnocení. Dále se zaměřuje na odlišnosti event managementu a projekt managementu a nadále také popisuje EMBOK Model. Za nosnou část diplomové práce je považována deskripce Mistrovství světa ve sportovním aerobiku, které se konalo v holandském městě Leiden v roce 2018. Práce se zabývá přípravnou fází, průběhem události a jejím konečným vyhodnocením. Cílem této práce je analyzovat organizaci konání Mistrovství světa ve sportovním aerobiku a navrhnout případná zlepšení. V diplomové práci byly využity metody analýzy a pozorování a byla provedena analýza současného stavu organizování mistrovství světa. Dále bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření, jenž zkoumalo spokojenost trenérů s dosavadní organizací. Výstupem z této diplomové práce je navržení řešení vedoucí k vyrovnanému rozpočtu, ke zvýšení spokojenosti trenérů a k celkovému zlepšení konání mistrovství světa.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is the importance of event management in organizing World Championships in sport aerobics. The thesis is focused on event management and their stages as planning, event and assessment. The other part of the diploma thesis presents a concern of the difference between project and event management. Moreover, it describes the EMBOK model. The main part of the diploma thesis is a description of the World Championships in sport aerobic which took place in Leiden in the Netherlands in 2018. The thesis deals with the planning phase, event phase and assessment phase. The goal of the diploma thesis is to analyse organizing world championships and recommend possible improvement. In the thesis methods of analysis and observation were used and an analysis of the current state of the world cup was carried out as well. A questionnaire survey was also made to examine the coaches´ satisfaction with the current organization of the World Championships. The output of the thesis is a recommendation of optimal solutions to balance the budget as well as to satisfy coaches and to improve the overall satisfaction with the World Championships organizing.
