This thesis deals with Jordan theorem and two of its different proofs. In the first part, Jordan theorem for endomorphisms and matrices is formulated. Then, by defining necessary terms and proving auxiliary theorems, we provide geometric proof of Jordan theorem, in which root subspaces are crucial. V této práci se věnujeme Jordanově větě a jejím dvěma různým důkazům. V první kapitole nejdříve vyslovíme Jordanovu větu pro endomorfismy a pro matice, a postupně se definováním potřebných pojmů a dokazováním pomocných vět propracujeme ke geometrickému důkazu Jordanovy věty, ve kterém jsou klíčové kořenové podprostory pro vlastní čísla.
