Anotace:

The thesis "Impact of Internal Control on Financial Position and Performance of the Chosen Company from Bangladesh" aims to evaluate the impact of implementing a set of internal controls on the financial position and performance of a selected company from Bangladesh. The primary objectives include identifying the advantages and disadvantages of internal controls as a quality control tool and providing recommendations for companies in Bangladesh seeking to implement or improve their existing systems. The theoretical portion delves into corporate governance, defining its principles and highlighting how internal controls are indispensable for effective corporate governance. Additionally, it provides an overview of internal control within various reporting cycles, such as sales and collection cycles, purchase and payment cycles, and fixed asset acquisition and disposal cycles. The practical segment encompasses a description of the chosen company, the methodology, and the data utilized, along with an overview of financial position. It also includes descriptions of the original internal controls within chosen cycles, the identification of deficiencies, and an analysis of the impact of these deficiencies on the company's financial position and performance before implementing robust internal controls. The results demonstrate that implementing sound internal controls within reporting cycles improved the company's performance.
