Tato práce je pokusem o představení čtyř kardinálních Platónových ctností a jejich významu v kontextu ideální obce. První část práce se zabývá představením jednotlivých ctností. Ve druhé části jsou probrána vybraná témata související s fungováním obce, a tedy i praktikováním ctností. This thesis is an attempt to introduce four Plato‘s cardinal virtues and their meaning in the context of ideal city. First part deals with introduction of particular virtues. In the second part selected items related to function of the city are examined and so items related to practising of virtues.
