Analysis of Czech textbooks of the Japanese language in the historical perspective

Abstract:

The objects of study of this bachelor thesis are Czech teaching materials of the Japanese language. The purpose of this thesis is to show how these materials have been developing in regards to the historical background, and how this development affected didactic methods for which these textbooks had been designed. At the beginning, the thesis contains a brief summary of the most influential original teaching materials of the Japanese language in the Czech Republic or Czechoslovakia. Following up, the thesis states specific criteria of defining textbooks with which it later operates, as well as terminology of didactics of the Japanese language, based on original Japanese sources. In the next section, the thesis performs a diachronic analysis of four specific teaching materials of the Japanese language. The analysis focuses primary on the way each respective material approaches teaching of Japanese. The thesis further performs a collective analysis with the purpose of pointing out historical changes in methods of teaching the Japanese language, as well as how the purpose of teaching Japanese has been shifting over time.

Abstract:

Predmetom skúmania tejto bakalárskej práce sú české učebné materiály japonského jazyka. Cieľom tejto práce je poukázať na to, ako sa tieto materiály historicky vyvíjali v rámci historického pozadia a ako sa tento vývoj odzrkadľoval na didaktických metódach, pre ktoré boli tieto učebnice určené. Práca najprv obsahuje stručné zhrnutie najdôležitejších pôvodných učebných materiálov japonského jazyka v Českej, resp. Československej republike. Následne uvádza kritéria definovania učebníc, s ktorými práca pracuje, a tiež terminológiu didaktiky japonského jazyka, pri ktorej sa opiera o japonské zdroje. V ďalšej časti sa práca venuje diachrónnej analýze konkrétnych štyroch učebných materiálov japončiny. V analýze je kladený dôraz na spôsob, akým sa v jednotlivých materiáloch pristupuje k výučbe japonského jazyka. Práca ďalej pristupuje k súhrnnej analýze týchto materiálov za účelom poukázať na historické zmeny v spôsobe výučby japončiny, ako aj na to, akým spôsobom sa historicky menil primárny účel výučby japončiny.
